Technical Project Lead - Regio Leuven/Namen

I take charge of the technical direction of our project, while respecting the standards of our customer. I am responsible for the delivery of web applications powered by Java EE 6, Websphere, XML, PostgreSQL, Hibernate, REST, SOAP, AngularJS, Struts2, Junit & Maven. Other tools & methodologies used are Gitlab, Jira and Scrum. With this goal in mind, I lead our technical analysis, developments, code reviews, delivery activities, internal meetings, and customer meetings. Preferably I can count on experience in the field of GIS, through which I have acquired skills within PostGIS, JTS, JSTS and OpenLayers.

I can count on my team of developers who I oversee and coach, working in close collaboration with the project manager. I participate daily in our standups which help me to stay up to date about the progress during our project. I provide user stories estimates which I split into technical tasks, and review the merge requests of my team.

During the project, I am responsible for creating and updating the technical documentation. I’m in charge of application releases and I document our release processes via checklists and procedures. I watch over the quality of the application we deliver; I analyze bugs based on stack traces and information received by the customer via support requests. Thanks to my fluent French and English, I am capable and not afraid to challenge our customers on technical aspects during the course of the project.

The development team sees me as a strategic and motivating colleague who shares his/her knowledge and stimulates learning and a productive environment within the team. I also encourage my colleagues to make the best use of their skills and I encourage my colleagues, partners and customers to take a look at challenges for a broader scope and innovative approach.
